Dr. Elena Tanakova is a first generation American, born to two Russian immigrants. She grew up partially in Houston, Texas and partially overseas in the Middle East due to her father’s job. She previously worked as a veterinary technician in Texas, where she found her passion for general practice. She graduated from St. George’s University school of veterinary medicine in 2025 and completed her clinical year at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Tanakova loves working with small animals as well as exotics, especially reptiles. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is client education and forming relationships with both her clients and their pets. In her free time, Dr. Tanakova enjoys spending time with her significant other, her 3 cats, and her 2 dogs. She is so excited to start her career as a veterinarian at All Pets!
